Blessing expresses the basic movement of Christian prayer: it is an encounter between God and man. In blessing, God’s gift and man’s acceptance of it are united in dialogue with each other. The prayer of blessing is man’s response to Gods’ gifts: because God blesses, the human heart can in return bless the One who is the source of every blessing. Will you sit with the Lord for one HOUR to receive his blessing?
St. Gregory Barbarigo’s Adoration Chapel located at 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, New York is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During Adoration, the first attitude of man is to acknowledge that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almight power of the Savior who sets us free from evil. Adoration is the homage of the spirit to the “King of Glory,” – respectful silence in the presence of the “even greater” God. (From the Catechism of the Catholic Church; 2626, 2628).
If you are interested in taking part in the encounter between God and man contact Bobby Zottoli at 914-263-6451 or by e-mail at stgregspea@hotmail.com for more details. To view St. Gregory Barbarigo’s Adoration flyer click on the hyperlink: St. Gregory Barbarigo PEA Flyer.
