The Rockland County Catholic Coalition would like to (again) WELCOME the Sisters of Life to Rockland County. The Sisters purchased property at 38 Montebello Road (located in Montebello near Suffern) which has become their Motherhouse. The Sisters of Life are a contemplative/ active religious community of women founded in 1991 by the late John Cardinal O’Connor for the protection and enhancement of the sacredness of every human life. The Sisters take the three traditional religious vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. They are consecrated under a special fourth vow to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life.
